Hand-painted teapots from traditional porcelain manufactories

A teapot is usually made of high quality porcelain and has a glaze. This creates a closed surface that offers the material good protection. By applying the glaze, the teapot gets the desired color at the same time, which can be different in the different areas. Pouring spout and handle therefore often have a different color than the pot. Additional decorations are still often painted by hand in renowned porcelain factories. In these manufactories, small differences in the painting result in many unique pieces.
