Tray tables usually have two components. In addition to the tray, which functions as a tabletop, a table frame is one of these compact pieces of furniture. Together, the two elements form a side table that is a practical accessory to sofas, benches and seating areas almost anywhere inside or outside. The special feature of tray tables is the option of separating the table top from the frame, enabling the user simply to hold a tray.
