Dedon Mbrace
The Dedon Mbrace collection from the design forge of Sebastian Herkner takes an unconventional, cheerful look at furniture design - and for the first time combines high-quality teak frames with the tried-and-true Dedon fiber. The result is surprising, beautifully shaped and charming chairs - armchairs, high-back chairs and rocking chairs - that convey atmosphere and relaxation. Dedon has expanded its repertoire to Nordic design and its generous simplicity with the Mbrace collection.
Dedon Mbrace - generous elegance
Sebastian Herkner created the furniture of the Mbrace collection as inviting seating that virtually embraces the sitter with its large, cuddly backrests, giving him the feeling of being safe and taken care of. The elegant upholstery of the teak frames immediately catches the eye, consisting of a mesh-like triaxial fabric made of three different colored fibers, each with its own profile and color. In collaboration with renowned color designer Giulio Ridolfo, Sebastian Herkner has created a set of extraordinary color plays for Dedon. These color plays make associate travel memories, trading cities and adventures around the world. The Dedon Mbrace collection is a worldly, very high quality series of lounge furniture that expresses the attitude to life of the young generation of globetrotters.
German design - international inspiration
Dedon Mbrace collection consists of an armchair, a rocking chair, a stool and a high-back chair. Additionally, cushions and pillows are available in various colors. The teak wood of the frames, as well as the Dedon fiber (made of resistant polyethylene), is weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor use.
Sebastian Herkner is a shooting star of the design world. The designer, who was born in 1981, studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, Germany and within a short time made a name for himself with a series of designs for well-known designers. Striking in Herkner's work are unusual material choices, such as the use of large elements made of mouth-blown glass, which lend sensual features to what are actually cold materials. He lives and works in Offenbach.
