Sofa and lounge furniture in the garden - high comfort and convenience

For those who want to make the outdoor area particularly cozy and turn the garden into a real oasis of well-being, sofa or lounge furniture is indispensable. In addition to comfort and convenience, this furniture often offers a shapely design. In the furniture premium segment, you can now find a variety of corresponding furniture that is perfect for outdoor use. The "right" sofa or lounge furniture depends on personal preferences and individual needs. In any case, it provides a very good retreat for relaxing hours outdoors.

Many lounge furniture and sofas have an excellent design and convince with their easy maintenance. A comfortable lounge corner can often be found in hotels and bars or in the waiting areas of airports and train stations. This comfortable luxury can also be enjoyed at home in the garden and on the terrace. Sofas and lounge furniture come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Representative of these are the daybed, chaise longue, ottoman or even the recamiere. The German company Weishäupl, for example, offers garden furniture in the upper price segment. Since 1969, the manufactory has been working at the Stephanskirchen site. Thus, all garden furniture from the house of Weishäupl is "Made in Germany": outstanding lounge furniture, high-quality workmanship and a long service life. Zawoh carries numerous sofas and lounge furniture from renowned manufacturers - such as Weishäupl, Dedon, Kettal, Lambert - for outdoor use in the range. Additional cushions and decorative pillows can further enhance the lounge feeling. Just take a look around at Zawoh!

Daybed

The comfortable Daybed - a resting bed or bed coach for the day or even a particularly comfortable sofa. It usually has a much larger seating area, on which one or even several adults can easily lie. The upholstered surface of a daybed is usually not divided, but offers the user a large lying surface on which you can comfortably rest and relax. The large upholstered surface can also adapt well to the body and thus provide sufficient relief for the back and cervical area under certain circumstances. The backrests of a daybed are often designed rather steeply, occasionally a daybed has no backrest, but only a side rest. Although a daybed usually has the appearance of a comfortable sofa, it can also be used as a garden lounger. Daybed can also be made of a wide variety of materials, especially selected for outdoor use.

Particularly beautiful and especially also very large daybeds can be found in the range of Dedon and Kettal. Daybed Dedon Swingrest resembles a swing in which you can swing. Although Swingrest is also available in a standing version, for the designer of Swingrest, Daniel Pouzet, it is precisely the swinging that makes this piece of furniture so appealing. For him, the movements people perform on this swing embody "scenes from life." You can try out such a Swingrest and many other pieces of garden furniture from the Dedon collection - as far as you can make it possible - at the Dedon Island Resort in the Philippines. On the island of Cebu, Dedon has a part made in traditional wickerwork in its own production facility. The Spanish company Kettal also has Landscape and Lou Daybeds in its program.

Chaiselongue

A chaiselongue is another piece of furniture that is made to rest and relax on. The word "chaiselongue" comes from the French and translated means "long chair". This also reveals the original use of this piece of furniture, which appeared in France as early as the 18th century and served as a model for many other pieces of furniture - examples include the recamiere and the "modern Chaiselongue". A Chaiselongue has a rather low, upholstered seat. In addition to being used as a seat, a chaiselongue can also be perfectly used for lounging. In the garden, a chaise longue is therefore also a very nice garden lounger. Indoors, a Chaiselongue can happily double as a guest bed. In today's living areas, the Chaiselongue can convince not only with its high comfort but also with its special, eye-catching design. A particularly beautiful Chaiselongue for the green oasis can be found, for example, in the Dedon Mu collection. Moreover, this can be extended by any other furniture of this collection, so that in the garden, on the terrace or balcony a coherent overall picture is created. The furniture of this collection stands out for its stylish, almost austere design and is particularly impressive for its clarity. Dedon furniture is very durable, so you can enjoy a Chaiselongue from the Dedon Mu collection for a long time.

Ottoman

An ottoman is a piece of furniture that can show quite different shapes. Especially well known is the ottoman as a bench or reclining sofa with or without backrest - strongly reminiscent of a chaise longue or a recamiere. But an ottoman is also familiar as a so-called "footstool", especially in American usage. The company Dedon has taken up this trend and had the American designer Stephen Burks develop such a chair or stool, which is part of the Dedon Dala collection. Burks was inspired in this collection by the arts and crafts and improvised arrangements of simple seating from the developing world. The material used here is a high-quality eco-fiber made from recycled food packaging as well as recycled polyethylene. Quality and design of furniture is also determined by a frame made of powder-coated aluminum expanded metal. In addition to an ottoman, the Dedon Dala collection includes an armchair and a practical coffee table.

Recamiere

A recamiere is another successful example of sofa and lounge furniture. It has a similar appearance to a chaise longue and can be easily confused with it. The chaise longue appeared in France as early as the 18th century, while the récamière appeared about two centuries later. Originally, a recamiere was used as seating furniture that did not have a full back or side rests. Today, a recamiere may well have a backrest. On the other hand, the two armrests, which tended to be oversized in the antique recamiere, are often only hinted at in modern designs. A recamiere also fits perfectly into a lounge corner in the garden or on the terrace and is a perfect place to relax and unwind. Depending on your needs, a recamiere can also be used as a garden lounger. Materials such as teak or high-tech synthetic fibers are particularly popular. Teak, in particular, is especially suitable for outdoors, because it is extremely weather-resistant and very attractive over a long period of time - even without much after-treatment. This high-quality material has been used by the German company Weishäupl for decades for its first-class garden furniture. Among the Weishäupl furniture stands out especially the Weishäupl Newport program, which offers particularly noble sofas and lounge furniture. For example, the Newport recamiere is also made of untreated teak, which is very attractive and extremely weather-resistant. In addition to a recamiere, in this collection you can also find a 2-seater, a 3-seater and a side table, side table and a dignified garden lounger. Of course, all the furniture in this collection can be easily combined with each other and make an excellent overall concept in any garden oasis. The optionally available upholstery made of an outstanding, fleece-covered cold foam filling is also of very high quality. Upholstery colors and patterns can be selected individually. The Weishäupl Newport program clearly illustrates the line of the Weishäupl company - namely furniture for "outdoor living".
