Bookshelves - mounted on the wall, placed on the floor, placed in the room

Bookshelves are sometimes used only for a few books, such as favorite reading. For others, they function to store all the books available. Accordingly, furniture manufacturers offer shelves in small versions for the wall and large shelves for placement on the floor. Other variants are book ladders, which are simply leaned against a wall. They can be easily positioned in a different place if necessary. Also practical for small spaces are bookcases with folding shelves. They protrude only a few centimeters into the room when not in use.

Bookshelves - the different variants

Bookshelves are often equipped with a back panel. But models without a back panel, which can also be placed in the middle of the room and thus serve as a room divider at the same time, are also available. For valuable books that need to be protected from dust and dirt, manufacturers offer display cases closed all around. There are also great differences in the division into compartments. In addition to bookcases in classic designs, models with a division into smaller and larger compartments are available. They perfectly accommodate books of various sizes and formats. On the other hand, in the classic rectangular and square furniture, the shelves are often adjustable. They, too, can be adapted to individual needs. Bookcases are often made of wood and various wood-based materials. However, many other materials, such as metal and plastic, are also suitable for the manufacture of these small pieces of furniture. With this wide selection, you can find the right shelf for every room.
