The sideboard - what is a sideboard?

Our sideboards in modern design are versatile in your living environment. A sideboard is a somewhat small, usually elongated chest of drawers with several doors and a shelf on top, which differs from other chests of drawers at most in width. More rarely, sideboards also have drawers. Originally, sideboards were mainly used to store tablecloths and tableware. However, modern dressers are used for all sorts of things. For example, a sideboard is the perfect storage for the home TV, thanks to its relatively low height. The drawers can fit other technical equipment, such as a DVD player or a game console. Larger sideboards are also called high chests.

The sideboard - what are the differences?

The furniture comes in a wide range of design variants. There are rather simple variants in elegant black, such as the Morton sideboard. Or chests of drawers that set stronger accents, such as the Franziskus Dolomite set from Lambert. The latter impresses with a patinated surface and makes a particularly noble impression. In addition to the color, there are also differences in a sideboard from the arrangement of the doors. Like the classic chest of drawers, a sideboard is often made of solid oak. Among the high-quality designer sideboards from Lambert, however, there are also some made of steel.
