Pagoda Parasol
The pagoda parasol - inspired by Far Eastern forms
A special type of parasol is the pagoda parasol. It is characterized by its special shape, inspired by the pagoda shape. A pagoda is a tall, multi-story structure - usually associated with Buddhism - whose several roofs are roundly curved downward (often with an upturned edge). This curvature of the roof has given the name to this type of parasol; umbrellas, by the way, are similarly shaped.
Skilful realization - the Weishäupl pagoda parasol
A visually highly appealing pagoda umbrella has long been part of the portfolio of the outdoor furniture manufacturer Weishäupl. The 12-cornered round umbrella is available in two practical sizes. The slight, round curvature of the umbrella is very successful; so it looks rather delicate. The umbrella pole is available in wood or aluminum. For the cover made of resistant acrylic cloth - DOLAN ® - fabrics in 46 colors or colored patterns are available. The cover rests on strong fiberglass rods; the hubs are made of polyamide. As a useful accessory, a bending mechanism is available for all models to tilt the umbrella; for the aluminum models, there is a helpful crank mechanism for tensioning.
Of course, as for all umbrellas from Weishäupl, there are suitable stands - ground sockets or ground plates made of concrete, granite or steel - for the stability of the pagoda umbrellas. And likewise, you can get custom-fit umbrella covers made of synthetic fabric or acrylic fiber.
The Weishäupl pagoda parasol is a very attractive and homely parasol in the extensive range of parasols from Zawoh, successful in design and excellent in workmanship.
