In addition, Stelton has received the Danish Society for Industrial Design's Industry Award three times.

Stelton's products have an international reputation. In the United States, the brand has achieved cult status and is sold in design boutiques at exorbitant prices. Numerous Stelton products can be seen in the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York, as well as in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In Europe, too, products of the brand are exhibited in renowned museums: the Kunstindustrimuseet in Stockholm, the Centre Pompidou as well as the Louvre in Paris, the State Museum of Applied Arts in Munich and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Stelton - unique, outstanding design

For the lifestyle label, designers are among its most important competencies. More than 20 creative people work for the Scandinavian company to give its products their unique character. It all started with Arne Jacobsen, the eminent Danish designer and architect. His cylindrical stainless steel teapot with its unusual handle became a best-seller. The Cylinda Line was awarded the ID Prize (ID Prizen) in 1967. Erik Magnussen is another big name in Stelton's design world. His greatest success was the design of an innovative vacuum jug: EM77 Vacuum Jug with automatic tilt closure. EM77 was awarded the Danish Design Award, the iF Product Design Award and the ID Prize.

Designer Klaus Rath is also one of the great artists in the Stelton design team. He designed the popular Stelton bread bag and the Stelton mini bag. Klaus Rath has received several awards for his creations: the G-Mark Design Award, the iF Design Award, the Design Plus Award and the CES Design Award. The designer duo HolmbäckNordentoft Stelton owes its product series Emma in gray and blue and the Pure Black knife w. magnet. The stylish knife in black won three awards in 2011: the Red Dot Design Award Best of the Best, the Formland Design Award and the Accent on Design Award. The Emma design family for the coffee and tea table received the Red Dot Award as well as the iF Product Design Award in 2014 and the Special Mention GDA in 2015.

Stelton - The Story

Niels STELlan Høm and CarTON Madelaire were two friends who wanted to start a company together. Initially they tried it with furniture and later with sports shoes. Success was a long time coming until they decided to collaborate with Danish Stainless. Danish Stainless produced stainless steel housewares. They made a breakthrough into international business with a stainless steel sauce boat. The new sales manager, Peter Holmblad, provided a fresh corporate design and a new brand was launched: Stelton. Arne Jacobsen was Peter Holmblad's stepfather. After much urging from Peter, Arne agreed to create a new product line for the young company: the Cylinda Line. This was the beginning of the worldwide success of the lifestyle brand Stelton.
