Tabanda
Tabanda was founded in 2009 by Malgorzata Malinowska, Tomek Kempa and Filip Ludka in Gdansk. During their design studies they met and discovered a common love and curiosity for classic materials and not everyday design.
Colors and Tabanda - young and modern furniture
In the meantime, the joint studio and the attached own manufacturing found wide interest: The three designers brought a breath of fresh air to the design landscape with their products and attracted attention with a small, fine program. Especially with their chair Diago they caused quite a stir. Made of powder-coated aluminum, folded in design according to the Japanese origami principle, Diago is the best example of the Tabanda team's wealth of ideas. This also applies to the multifunctional Tabanda sofa with a small shelf as an armrest or the plug-in system DYNKS. With original and modern designs, the Polish designer label now mixes in the international furniture world.
Tabanda - fine materials and authentic production
Preferred material of Tabanda is plywood; veneer and aluminum are used as for example in the chair Diago or the pendant lamp Lampania. Many aluminum parts are finished with bold colors, creating a variety of use and combination options. The product development takes place within the Tabanda team in their own studio; they are manufactured in their own small manufactory in pure handwork. Thus, according to the designers, the pieces of furniture get their own personality, become unique. For the Falun stool, the young designer trio received the "Must have Prize" at the Lodz Furniture Festival back in 2011.
