Umage is the outcome of the renaming of the label Vita copenhagen, which was founded in 2008. The Danes produce high-quality lamps and furniture, which are all characterised by their simplicity, functionality and aesthetics. The Lounge Around 3-seater dark oak sofa designed by Søren Ravn Christensen in his Danish homeland is of course no exception. It is a part of the Lounge Around collection, in which the same 3-seater can be found in an oak version. So it makes sense to combine the two seating options.
Flexible sofa for relaxing by Søren Ravn Christensen
Translated into German, Umage stands for someone who goes to extraordinary lengths and makes an enormous effort. This also applies without compromise to the production of the Lounge Around 3-seater sofa dark oak. The Copenhageners use 100 percent polyester for the upholstery of the 233-centimetre-long piece of furniture and a material mix consisting of oak, plywood and steel for the frame. Thanks to thoughtful craftsmanship, these very high-quality materials create a flexible and multifunctional sofa that also functions wonderfully as a guest bed.
