Classicon Aixia Chair
ClassiCon - this name says it all: The fine Munich brand reissues true classics by established designers, but also presents contemporary design that has everything to become a classic. According to these strictly adhered principles ClassiCon has in its program exclusively furniture, lighting and home accessories that are extremely high quality and aesthetically timeless.
This also applies to the Aixia chair. Designed by Eileen Gray as early as 1928, this piece of seating furniture is defined by the new objectivity of the time. It is clear in form and yet highly comfortable to sit on. With the parallel elements on the sides and in the backrest, but especially with the elegant curve of the back of Aixia, the designer skillfully added a playful attribute. Thus, this chair is an exquisite seating equally as a solitaire or in a row, as well as for the dining room as at a desk. By the way, it received its pretty name simply according to the company that supplied Eileen Gray with steel tubes.
ClassiCon uses high-quality chrome-plated steel tubing for the frame of Aixia - just as Eileen Gray did at the time. The glides on the feet are made of solid mahogany. Aixia is upholstered with polyester wadding made of polyurethane. In terms of upholstery, there is a rich choice: on the one hand, a leather cover is possible, variants Classic or Premium; on the other hand, there are numerous fabric and fabric types in different textures and colors to choose from. With these customization options, this picture-perfect classic chair can be inserted into a wide variety of interiors. Like all ClassiCon products, the Aixia chair is numbered and marked, making it a highly customizable piece of seating furniture.
