Zeitraum has become a renowned brand for high-quality wooden furniture since its founding in 1991. Based in Wolfratshausen, Bavaria, the company designs top-quality wooden furniture there according to very strict and consistent principles. These are manufactured in the near vicinity of the company by selected craftsmen and manufactories.

Zeitraum's furniture are very successful designs, either created by the company's own team or by renowned designers and design offices. The designs of the different collections are independent and yet characterized by a uniform sense of style. Essential is their elegance and balance and the strong consideration of the valuable material wood, which should be shown in all its beauty. Functionality is also an important aspect of this furniture. This results in independent, even often idiosyncratic designs, which nevertheless have a timeless character in their restrained manner.

ZEITRAUM - selected wood, fine materials

All Zeitraum furniture is made from selected woods. These come from sustainable forestry. The main varieties are: Oak, wild oak, ash, beech, maple, European and American walnut and American cherry. Thus, a whole palette of color tones and different grains is available. Recently, Zeitraum has also started working with different shades of light woods. The surface of the wood species and its treatment are of particular importance. They are an essential part of the furniture design. The peculiarity of the wood, its tint and grain should be shown to advantage as much as possible. This is also taken into account in the after-treatment, which is only carried out with natural waxes and oils, so that the respective wood structure shows itself particularly well.

ZEITRAUM - perfection in craftsmanship - Made in Germany

The wood used for Zeitraum furniture is hand-selected, carefully cut and then processed according to strict principles of carpentry. This is beautifully demonstrated in the surfaces and the joints of the wooden elements. This creates furniture with the quality of unique pieces, which are not only visually convincing in every detail, but also extremely stable, durable and long-lasting. This also proves itself in the event that repairs should become necessary. Normally it is sufficient if the wood, which is a living material and reacts and "works" to the temperature and humidity of the air, is regularly treated and maintained with a suitable preservative oil.

ZEITRAUM - environmentally conscious and sustainable production

The entire production of Zeitraum furniture is governed by the rules of ecologically conscious and sustainable manufacturing. This begins with the selection of certified woods and continues in the production in the near vicinity without long transport routes, in the careful processing and in the careful environmentally friendly finish of the furniture. This care also applies, of course, to the selection of the materials otherwise used: natural paper and textile covering, linoleum, metal, ceramics and molded fleece. Wherever possible, Zeitraum provides a "Furniture Footprint" for its furniture, taking into account life cycle assessment data and available sustainability assessment certificates.
