Awarded the "Oscar" among design prizes

Richard Frinier, who lives and works in California, was awarded the prize for the best outdoor design of the decade for the Dedon Orbit, by a jury of internationally renowned designers and interior designers of the "Oscar" among design awards: Interior Design's Best of the Year Awards, hosted by leading New York magazine Interior Design. Richard Frinier describes his design thus:

"The original Orbit and the Orbit XXL changed the landscape of the outdoor furniture industry forever because people started to perceive their outdoor spaces differently. They could see how they could design their private gardens and patios if they just put an Orbit in there. People tell us that this design feels great, that it changes their mood when they relax in this lounge landscape and forget the worries of the day. They smile when they first see it. It's easy to see why it feels that way when you're lying in a huge, soft, round and elegantly woven daybed - with a retractable roof. It's escapism at its best!"

Dedon Orbit sofa islands are made of highly weather-resistant Dedon Fiber® stretched on a powder-coated aluminum frame. Several colors are available for the wicker. The canopy can also be supplied in several colors. The canopy is foldable, it can serve as a comfortable sun and privacy screen. With its pre-assembled, fold-out wheels, the Dedon Orbit is easy to move.
