Dedon SeaX - new materials and French art of design
The Dedon SeaX dining table is also an innovative masterpiece of French design art. With its impressive top (available in several sizes) made of the fine ceramic material Lapitec® cut in one piece, the dining table looks streamlined, light and elegant even in its largest version. It is extremely resistant to scratches and weathering and can be left outdoors all year round without any problems. SeaX dining table tops are held by aluminum frames and come in multiple frame and table top colors.
Creating great environments
It's no wonder Jean-Marie Massaud has won multiple awards, including the Compasso d'Oro (1995-98), the Designer of the Year Award at the Paris Furniture Fair (2007) and the ELLE International Decoration Award (2007). The Dedon SeaX collection proves once again that Massaud's design art and understanding of style create great spaces. He himself states that beauty is always pure emotion - and that design must give people the feeling of progress, the feeling of possibility to create new living environments.
Jean-Marie Massaud (*1966) studied product design at the renowned "Les Ateliers Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle" in Paris and initially worked with Marc Merthier before founding the "Studio Massaud" together with Daniel Pouzet in 2000. In addition to furnishings for e.g. Cassina and Axor, he has also designed stores and trade fair stands for Lancôme and Poltrona Frau, among others. He describes his workplace as a "chaotic ecosystem" in which designs are created that put people at the center - and not the product. Here's what he himself says about his creative process:
