Dedon The Others

Dedon was founded in 1990 by Bobby Dekeyser and quickly made a name for itself by combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. In particular, the art of weaving with synthetic fibers was a novelty of Dedon furniture and lighting worldwide. Among the numerous collections of the Lüneburg-based company is The Others, a popular series of lamps for indoor and outdoor use. The design of the lanterns and floor lamps is extraordinary. The anthropomorphic shape is further enhanced by the acrylic eyes available as accessories.

Lantern and floor lamp designed by Stephen Burks

The Others luminaires deliberately cross the boundaries into decorative art by presenting themselves as statues. Several objects in the series can be used as hanging lanterns, but also as floor lamps. The lights, which are available in various sizes, set special accents with their appearance and can be used both solo and in combinations with other designs. As materials Dedon uses powder-coated aluminum for the frame and polyethylene for the wicker.
