Riviera Maison

Henk Teunissen's Dutch company Riviera Maison was born in Amsterdam in 1985 from his parents' flower store. Initially, he continued to run it, but on a vacation in Malaysia, he bought a load of Asian pots, which became a huge success. More purchases of "home decorations" followed. With the hiring of creative director Nico Tijsen in 1989, the development of furniture began. The first ones were then presented in 1993. Since 1997 the complete living concept - furniture and accessories - for home and garden is offered.

Due to the great success, more stores were opened in the Netherlands. Already in 2003 the label Riviera Maison is known worldwide, stores in other countries followed and over the years the company receives various coveted awards. The concept of creating and offering comfortable, timeless and elegant furniture and accessories worked. In addition to sales in its stores, Riviera Maison constantly receives orders to furnish hotels, commercial spaces, offices and restaurants.

Riviera Maison Home & Living

What is the basis of its great success? The goal was to give people a lifestyle that offers pleasure, coziness, comfort, exclusivity and ambience. Henk Teunissen finds the ideas for this on his travels. Together with his creative director, these are then brought to life. This is how collections are created that radiate elegance and warmth. But not everyone loves the same style. That's why Riviera Maison offers furniture for a wide variety of living styles: modern, classic, romantic, rustic or even country-specific. Complete furnishings for living room and bedroom or exclusive individual pieces, furniture for terrace and garden, plus accessories such as lamps, textiles, rugs and other beautiful things to decorate, creating a cozy ambience.

It is a matter of course for Riviera Maison that all products are made of high-quality materials. These are processed in small, still handcrafting manufactories. For example, carefully recycled wood, glass, iron, rattan, fine fabrics for upholstered furniture and decorative textiles are used. According to Henk Teunissen, exclusivity, atmosphere and warmth are a pillar of Riviera Maison and these characteristics run through all collections.
