Taitu

Taitù is a world-renowned brand of high-quality, intricately and artfully designed porcelain. The interesting collections of versatile tableware and matching accessories are still inspired by the genius of their founder Emilio Bergamin. He chose as a motto for all his work the name of an Ethiopian goddess who loves beauty: Taitù. It means and signals: Color, light, beauty, freedom. Thus, Taitù brings an abundance of tableware and objects made of excellent fine bone china porcelain with lively, extravagant, joyful decor. Ideal to combine. Excellent to give as a gift.

World brand Taitù

Taitù is a world-renowned brand of high-quality, intricately and artistically designed porcelain, with interesting collections of versatile tableware and with accessories coordinated with them.

Taitù - porcelain with tradition

The company has a good and long tradition. It was founded back in 1962 in Milan by Emilio Bergamin. This gifted designer had previously worked for Tiffanys and Bloomingdales and then set up his own business in Northern Italy, in order to be able to freely realize his own unconventional design ideas. His creations are all defined by fine elegance, liveliness, sensitive design and subtle, intense color. Bergamin chose "Taitù", the name of a beauty-loving Ethiopian queen, as the name and at the same time the motto for his entire porcelain oeuvre; it means "color, light, beauty, freedom". Even today, this is an apt characterization for the charm and magnificence of this world-class porcelain.

Taitù - thematically open, diverse in color, harmoniously designed, perfect in craftsmanship.

The variety of themes addressed by Taitù is great. It ranges from simple, almost graphically designed elements to magnificent floral depictions. The palette ranges from sparingly restrained, almost graphic work to restrained minimalist coloration to naturalistic pictorial elements and opulently bold colors. This colorfulness is very impressive and yet, with all its power, restrained; it always lets the color apply and live and is never simply colorful. Very interesting is the way in which the existing surfaces are designed. Often here the contrast of the clear white porcelain and the strong contours of the decoration creates a most delightful tension. Here you can feel particularly clearly what kind of design artists are at work with this porcelain. Of course, all Taitù collections are also particularly effective because of their outstanding materials and production. The porcelain is the finest fine bone china. The color application is perfect. The result is tableware that will be enjoyed for a long time.

Taitù - moods and seasons

All collections of Taitù porcelain - especially those determined by nature motifs - each have their own character. Be it that they reflect in a restrained way, that they are oriented towards certain seasons or that they are characterized by certain moods. Thus, there are equally playful graphic designs with a restrained linear design, as there are lush floral motifs for spring and summer, for example, or strong fruits with an autumnal charm. A special position is occupied by the Christmas porcelain Noel Oro, which - also in its new version - is a particular highlight with its playful, charmingly colored Christmas motifs and festive gold decoration. Noel, too, has already achieved collector status.

Taitù - Mix & Match

The various collections from Taitù, for all their independence - or precisely because of their stylistically characteristic idiosyncrasies with the same outstanding quality - offer the possibility that many of them can also be combined with each other and mixed in a variety of ways. Not only the elements of a single collection are excellently coordinated with each other. There are also excellent combination possibilities between various collections. Numerous decors, individual shapes, powerful colors and lively motifs can thus be combined to create exciting constellations. This offers an ideal opportunity to create an independent and individual tableware combination or to put together very personal gifts.

Taitù - Accessories

Recently, Taitù has expanded its program in an interesting way: various matching objects and textiles are now available for the individual collections. For example, plates to be put up or hung on the wall, pendants coordinated with the specific collections, vases and planters, matching pillows. All stylish elements for the magically coordinated design of a living environment.
