Tecnolumen

The Tecnolumen company has been in existence since 1980 and is based in Bremen, where production also takes place. Their success story began with the permission to reissue the famous Wagenfeld table lamps WA 24 and WG 24 from the Bauhaus period.

Tecnolumen - famous Bauhaus lamps and own creations

This license was granted personally to the company's founder Walter Schnepel, a merchant and art collector of Wilhelm Wagenfeld. The license for the table lamp was followed by others, so that Tecnolumen nowadays also reissues other lamps such as the ceiling lamp by Marianne Brandt and the floor lamp by Gyula Pap from the Bauhaus period. Here, in addition to a true-to-the-original look, the company attaches great importance to high-quality materials and careful craftsmanship.

Equally timeless: the own designs of this brand

In addition to the famous models from the Bauhaus period, the company offers its own lamps and lighting objects. In doing so, it follows the design principles of Bauhaus, so its models also have the potential to become classics. The design comes from in-house and freelance designers such as Mathias Schifferdecker, who designed the cube-shaped light object Cubelight MSCL 1. The company founder himself is also active as a designer. He designed the Lightworm table lamp, which can be perfectly adapted to any room situation thanks to its flexible metal tube. Schnepel also designed several table, floor and pendant luminaires, which are reminiscent of Bauhaus design with their clear design language.
