Classicon Bibendum armchair turquoise
Classicon has in its carefully designed portfolio furniture that - stylistically, conceptually and in their workmanship - are classics or have the potential to become such. A clear "arrived" classic is the armchair Bibendum, which was conceived by the talented designer Eileen Gray already in the middle of the so-called Golden Twenties of the last century. It is - with a touch of nostalgia - timelessly modern.
The Bibendum armchair stands with three fine supports on a narrow u-shaped foot area; both made of round tubular steel. The body of the armchair is all the more powerful and, as it were, floating above it: a solid, almost round cushion, above which the curvature of the back and backrest is built up with two u-shaped beads of equal height: An invitation to sit comfortably, which has now become a cult object.
The elements for sitting have a sturdy beech frame with rubber belts. The upholstery is made of durable, high-quality plastic: polyurethane with polyester wadding. The cover of the armchair is possible in leather or fabric with different colors; here it is presented in a casual turquoise. The steel tube frame here is powder coated in black, it is also available chrome plated. To protect the floor, the armchair has black plastic glides.
